Post Your Favorite Songs Here
I thought I start a thread where we could all share our musical tastes. Post YouTube videos of your favorite songs here. I'm sure we all have more than one of two that we particularly like. I think it would be fun to hear the music others here enjoy, most of which I've probably never heard.
I'll start off the thread with a reggae-like song that I really like by a guy I never heard of until I heard the song on the radio and chased it down.
Unfortunately, embedding has been disabled, so you'll have to go to YouTube to see it.

A favorite instrumental of mine by Genesis. Los Endos. Fast forward to about the 3 minute mark (or watch the whole thing). The second half of the song is my fave bit. Phil Collins on Drums with Chester Thompson also on Drums (ex-Weather Report).

That was from 2007 (reunion tour). Here's the same two from the 1984 tour. This drum solo is pretty bad ass. They were younger.

Phil Collins - In The Air Tonight
His solo work. From the 1990 tour in Berlin.... when Bubbles was just a rugrat curtain climber.

If anyone likes piano/synthesizers, here's Genesis' Tony Banks on his first solo disc from 1979. He did his solo album at the same time Phil was doing Face Value.

I go from one extreme to the other in music. How about some symphonic black metal?

Matt, you'll get a kick out of this one. Dimmu Borgir are a very anti-religious band.
More symphonic black metal.

If I had to pick just one favorite song, the following would be it.
First the original, then some really great covers to follow.
Again, as it seems with all my favorites, embedding is disabled, you'll have to go to YouTube to watch.

Of course we can't forget Israel Kamakawiwoʻole's version - also embedding disabled sadly - but viewable by clicking on the vid below:

One of the most amazing instrumental versions of Over the Rainbow I've ever heard - and one of the most incredible guitar performances I've ever seen! Stanley Jordan's cover.

Oh yeah... no question about that. But what a beautiful cover of the song.

My all time favorite punk cover - by Me First and the Gimme Gimmes...

Re: Post Your Favorite Songs Here
This version, from a British singing competition TV show, sung by Danielle Hope, includes an introductory verse most people never knew existed (unless they are avid theater-goers). Danielle stays true to the original version and does a beautiful job.

Quite an attractive young lady, and a beautiful voice.

And now the rarest of all versions of this song. This one not only has the introductory verse, it also has a second chorus that is almost never heard. Sung by Jewel.

Re: Post Your Favorite Songs Here
All good songs, guys, especially the Phil Collins stuff.
As for the fat Hawaiian, he was one of the last pure blood Hawaiians and he died of "being too fat" in the 90s, I believe, so his version of the song is pretty old. However, that song is the #1 song in Germany right now.
Always a good song to listen to...

Also a great song from a great show by my favorite band of all time...

Candy Dulfer - Pick Up The Pieces
I wouldn't call it a "favorite" as I only just discovered this particular performance yesterday. But I've known about Candy for about twenty years, and over the past few days when thinking about what music I would like to spend my remaining Christmas money on, she came to mind. So yesterday I did some research about her and found this little gem. Needless to say, I've since ordered some of her stuff.
