Union operative attempts to destroy Tea Party rally’s speaker system

MADISON, Wisc. — Police officers in Madison detained and subsequently released a labor union operative who attempted, somewhat successfully, to destroy the speaker system at the Tea Party counter rally Saturday.

Police would not release the name of the man, or any more details, but eyewitnesses told The Daily Caller he ripped the wiring out of several different speaker systems. Part of the sound system went out for about five minutes.

When a Tea Partier, Luke Bacher, confronted the man ripping the speaker wiring out, Bacher said the man physically assaulted him. That caused police to get involved and detain the union operative.

Another eyewitness, Steve Stevlic from the Chicago Tea Party, confirmed Bacher’s story for TheDC.

“A gentleman came up and ripped the cord right out of the speaker,” Stevlic said. “A couple people came and tried to stop him from doing that, and he was pushing and shoving.”

I especially love the book stand with such patriotic titles as "The Communist Manifesto" and "Socialism on Trial" and the book with Fidel Castro on the cover with the title I can't read.

This reminds me exactly of how the right were acting on Capitol Hill when the Health Care bill was coming for a vote. The left was screeching bloody murder then.

I do not agree. I would ask you to post video of those on the right on Capital Hill behaving like what we are seeing here.

But what I think you are forgetting are the accusations (which were baseless and never proven despite a very high monetary reward for any video proving them) that the mainstream media carried without any corroboration of their truth that some Tea Party protesters had spit on those Democrats and had shouted obscenities and racial slurs at them. This was a blatantly obvious attempt at demonizing the Tea Party protesters without so much as a scrap of evidence that these things had occurred. Of course this did not deter the mainstream media from reporting these baseless claims.

Now note that no such claims have been made against these public-sector union members, and that there has been ZERO reporting on the blatantly hostile signs being carried by many of these protesters comparing Gov. Walker to Hitler, Mussolini, and every other evil person in history.

There can be absolutely no question that the mainstream media have abandoned all pretense of objectivity and have openly sided with the left in this country. They are nothing more than shills for the Democrats and as such do not deserve the 1st Amendment protections granted them. They should be treated as the openly partisan political hacks they now are.

I think you're missing my point. It's as you pointed out.... the media covered the Tea Party protests looking for anything remotely racist or fascist. They found none. The media made a big deal out of TP people shouting as Dem congressmen were entering the Capitol to vote on the HC bill. But here, they cover none of the shenanigans.

Its what pisses me off about the MSM here. Objectivity when it suits them.

It is true that the mainstream media were looking for racist or fascist elements of the Tea Party protests on the Hill... but having found none themselves, they simply reported on allegations of racism and abuse by Democrats without even a single scrap of substantiation. They ran the claims of Democrat politicians that they had been spit upon and had racial slurs shouted at them by those Tea Party protesters despite the fact that not a single, solitary, mainstream media camera, participant camera or cell phone captured even a single, solitary event to substantiate the Democrat's claims! The Democrats blatantly LIED about what happened during that event, and not a single mainstream media outlet questioned their claims and merely reported them as though they had occurred. And despite the fact that there was a very significant monetary reward offered to ANYONE who could offer real proof that the Democrats claims were true, to this date NO ONE has been able to offer any proof of those claims. And despite the lack of any shred of corroborating evidence, those mainstream media reports of those false claims remain on the record.
