Explain your avatar

I often find myself looking at people's avatars thinking 'hmm, what's that about?' and so I have started this thread! As a place where people can explain their avatars! Simples!

I'll go first. My rather awesome avatar (which is as irreverent and amusing as what I is ) is - unsurprisingly - Discworld related. Because Terry Pratchett is as close to the perfect human being as it is possible to get. EDIT: APART FROM MATT!

This is the original image in full (if rather small):



On the left are the gods of the discworld (Blind Io - king of the gods; The Lady (you mustn't say her name or she will vanish); Fate; Billious, etc). On the right is Cohen the Barbarian. Famous hero of the discworld - stole fire from the gods (later tried to give it back ).

Clearly this is a mickey take of 'The Hand of God' or 'Creation of Adam' from the Sistine Chapel - the artist here is the Totally Awesome Paul Kidby, Official Discworld Artist (TM). He often does a pastiche on famous works of art, like these:

I don't even know the meaning behind it either.

Yeah, it's Pierce. The stretching is what had me.

Mine needs no introduction, at least to the wife. Dead Space is a survival adventure horror game on the XBox 360 and PS3. I'm probably going to change my avatar soon enough anyway.
