Dream Theater Empty Dream Theater

This song just drives me crazy. The chorus of the song just sends chills up my spine. There's lyrics to go by for the song and it's interesting for me to see what is being sung about. Posted by the record company's YouTube account.....

I'm taking suggestions as to the meaning.

It's a love song. More specifically, a song about love gone wrong. Reminds me of my 2nd wife actually.

I should have thought that fairly obvious by the lyrics I could make out on my tiny screen.

Am I missing something?

The way I read it was that it could apply to the lionization of the celebrity world.

What did you think of the song in general?

That band is college educated. Most of them went to the Julliard School of Music. The bassist plays a 6 string bass and frets the neck like it's a guitar. I have a Blu Ray disc of them now and it's badass to watch.

Chin Scratch Hmmm... I suppose it could be that. The lyrics certainly could support that interpretation. I'd have to know more about the band's members to make the call.

The song was okay. I wouldn't put it at the top of my list, but then I was just listening to it on my phone... hardly the best medium to take in the full effect.

I'll reserve final judgement until I can view and hear it properly.
