Obama a centrist?

This one is for you, ILM. Americans for Democratic Action awarded him a 95% liberal voting record in 2007. The year before that, it was a perfect 100%. This was as a US Senator. The American Conservative Union gives him a lifetime rating of 8%. Repub moderate Olympia Snowe has a 50% lifetime rating. Joe Lieberman, thrown out of the party for being too conservative, has a 17% lifetime rating.

Obama has a 100% rating from Planned Parenthood, NOW and NARAL. The National Taxpayers Union gave him 6% in 2005 (even Hillary got 9%), and the ACLU ranks him at 83%.... which doesn't sound too bad until you realize that no Repub Senators except Arlen Specter (when he was a Repub) and Olympia Snowe received ratings above 42%. The NRA gives him an "F". Citizens Against Government Waste gave him 13%.

Obama ran as a centrist, which is one of the things that made him so popular. Since then, Obama has been attempting to dictate from the center of the left shoulder of the off-ramp to Socialism.
