U.S. Budget and Gov't Shutdown Stalemate

I find it interesting how the major media are making such a big deal out of this. Some are blaming (as usual) the Republicans. Well, duh.

But ya know what? This same media never even made a peep last year on how the Democrats never even passed a budget bill, much less even bothered to draw one up. Not a peep then and not a peep now, reminding everyone that the Dems certainly had the time, the power and the votes to pass it.

And people wonder why I get so pissed at our media here with their one-sided bullshit, week in and week out. It never ends.

Exactly! The Democrats pulled a purely political move by declining to fulfill their Constitutional duty to draft and pass a budget bill in September because it was an election year and the KNEW they'd look bad with the budget they wanted to create and give the Republicans even more ammo to use against them in the mid-term elections. But nary a peep from the mainstream media on this crappy political ploy (though you can sure bet it would have been front-page, above-the-fold news in the newspapers and the lead story on the evening news for WEEKS had this been a Republican congress pulling this shit).

Then, AFTER they got their asses handed to them in the mid-terms, they still had all the way to January to get their asses in gear (while they still had majorities in Congress and the White House) and pass a damn budget, but noooooooo... couldn't do that. And still nary a peep from the mainstream media.

And now these feckless Democrats have waited until the very last moment, not having presented so much as a SINGLE FREAKING BUDGET BILL (while the Republicans have presented several - IN WRITING), the mainstream media is awash with the likes of that weasel Reid making outrageous claims about the Republican's efforts to do some actual serious and permanent budget cutting - AND STILL the Democrats have not produced a single budget bill in writing to counter the Republicans!!!

The sheer irresponsibility of the mainstream media to truthfully report on this is enough to make one's head explode!

They are nothing more than fucking shills for the Democrats!
