Incompetent Government Of Ours - Oil Spill
After just watching a segment on ABC Evening News about the gulf oil spill, i'm enraged. Places from Florida to Alabama are getting the oil already. One area in Alabama had none of those skimmers that are slowing the advance of the oil. No gov't or BP people around. It's just astounding.
And this is the gov't that people want to administer health care. It can't even do sh!t for the gulf. Un-fµqqing-real.

The one question I want answering is this: Why have other petroleum companies neither offered nor been pressured to provide help? Is this really a time to be playing petty corporate oneupmanship?

And one question I want answered is: Just what do people expect the government to do that they are not doing now.
Criticizing them, or Obama, for doing nothing without offering solutions is doing no more than they are currently doing. This is not about health care -- that's a red herring.

Don't know how i missed your reply. Never saw it. I was venting after watching ABC News here the night i made my post.
Anyway.....
Yeah, the others should be throwing any of their know how to help BP for the sake of the coastline.

One thing that stuck in my mind is the fact that the gov't is waiting on an environmental impact study before setting up things on the coast designed to combat the oil. Hello. This is an environmental impact on its own.
It's the slow gov't response to the needs of the people and business in combating this. It reaffirms my statements that our gov't here is so bloated and inefficient that it can't do even the most simplest things.
